RealObjects and cosinex continue cooperation: OEM partnership extended until 2028

RealObjects and cosinex have announced the extension of their successful OEM partnership until 2028. Since 2021, cosinex has integrated RealObjects’ flagship product PDFreactor into key solutions for digital public procurement. The renewed agreement secures continued collaboration for at least three more years.

PDFreactor is used by cosinex in its Contract Management System (VMS), in the Direct Order Entry – EDI module, and in the editor for structured data exchange between contracting authorities. Over the past years, the technology has proven to be stable, flexible, and future-oriented.

Strong Focus on Accessibility and Compliance

For cosinex customers, the creation of accessible, legally compliant PDFs is essential. RealObjects has positioned itself as a leading provider in this area. PDFreactor supports international standards such as PDF/A, PDF/UA, and PDF/X, enabling digital procurement processes to comply with the requirements of the German Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG – Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz).

Michael Jung, Managing Director Sales & Business Development at RealObjects, explains:

“Extending our partnership with cosinex underscores our role in IT solutions for the public sector, where accessible PDF creation is indispensable. With continuous advancements – ranging from the JavaScript engine to compliance support – PDFreactor is well-prepared to meet the long-term requirements of public authorities. We are particularly pleased that cosinex is adopting our modern ARR OEM licensing model, which aligns perfectly with current cloud and SaaS trends.”

Carsten Klipstein, Managing Director of cosinex, also expressed his satisfaction:

“RealObjects is a reliable, equal partner with strong development expertise and direct support from Germany. The close cooperation is particularly valuable for complex requirements such as implementing EVB-IT guidelines. Technologically, PDFreactor is our first choice: from the native Java API to REST and SOAP interfaces to flexible JavaScript processing, it meets the highest standards. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership in the years to come.”

With the contract extension, both companies reaffirm the strategic importance of PDFreactor in Germany’s digital public procurement landscape – providing innovation, compliance, and planning security well into the future.
